Achoo! Holistic Approach to End Seasonal Allergies
Le’ts be honest, I love the spring but we all. dread. allergy. season. Well,Ii used to anyways but over the last several years I and my family have’nt skipped a beat!
I’ve seen numerous local community post of people asking for an allergist recommendation because this year is SO terrible yet here We are, feeling totally fine!
So what’s changed? 🤔
My health - every year I seemingly become healthier as my knowledge expands and this year definitely tops the cake. My family and I are thriving during a time when most of us have stuffy heads and runny noses.
Our regimen below👇
🌱Probiotics - 80% of our immune system lies in the digestive tract-If your gut isn’t functioning well, nothing else will, poor gut health means your prone to major inflammation, poor absorption of nutrients (vital for good health) and ding allergic reactions. We also know that in particular, children with asthma and allergic related disorders have very low amounts of certain healthy probiotics throughout their gut We also know that probiotics have been shown to modulate the immune system back to a Th1 response which is just a fancy way of saying it helps kick in your cells in anti-inflammatory state to reduce inflammation, boost immune and even kill off parasites
🌱Bromelain- natural antihistamine- We prefer the liquid version or using the core itself (juicing/smoothies) We also make tea using the rind🍍
🌱Elderberry- helps reduce inflammation we often see accompany seasonal allergies.
🌱Quercetin-find this naturally in foods like broccoli, citrus fruits, dark red cherries, onions, red wine, and olive oil.
🌱Vitamin C- Definitely bust this out during the spring. Best taken on an empty stomach 30 min before eating if taking in supplemental form (same rule of thumb also works for food sources). You can opt to get this naturally from foods- broccoli, kiwi, bell peppers, strawberries
🌱Local Raw Honey - inhibits your histamine to local pollen🐝
🌱 Adding in a nasal spray such as propelis to help cleanse the nasal passages.
Hope you all find this helpful and can be a little less sniffly this year.
